We’ve heard from a few of you and just wanted to clear up a few things!

1. If you have students entering college in the Fall of 2012, they are welcome at Glorybound as youth participants! If you have students who want to attend and have been in college a year or more, we invite them to check out our volunteer opportunities. They are also welcome as a participant if that is a better fit for them.

2. There is a free parking lot/garage that connects to the Marriott using a large glassed-in walkway. There is also a parking garage that you have to pay for that is a shorter walk to the front desk. It’s your choice as to which one you park at; however, we cannot guarantee that there will be space in either depending on the other events happening that weekend in the area.

3. We have been contacted by several churches asking if Glorybound has any scholarships available. While we don’t have scholarships in our budget, we have heard from some churches that are considering fundraising a little extra to help students go on this trip that may not go to their church. If you are interested in donating funds toward this cause, please email registrar@gloryboundtexas.org.

We are working on a new, fresh way for YOU to build COMMUNITY with our Texas District youth and their friends! Packets will be sent out soon, but please send your requests for exhibit information to vendors@gloryboundtexas.org and we’ll get those packets to you just as soon as they are ready! Keep watching this site for further information and exhibitor applications.

Our latest registration email said that the early bird deadline is December 15, 2012. That should be corrected to the year 2011. Please accept our apologies!

Our paper registration materials have been mailed to your congregations! You should receive materials within the next 2 weeks. If for some reason your congregation doesn’t receive the materials, please contact us!

You can register for GLORYbound 2012 right now by going to our Registration page and following the instructions.

GLORYbound 2012 registration opens exclusively online on August 1st. Youth leaders: make sure you start talking to your students and adult leaders now so that you can get in on the Early Bird Registration deadline price. That is a savings of $20 per person if you register by December 15, 2011! Keep checking www.gloryboundtexas.org for updates in the coming days as the schedule, speakers and program are all updated!

The tentative schedule for GLORYbound 2012: Uncommon Unity has been released. Since there is still some time before the event starts, there may be some small changes, but for planning purposes, here is what the team has been working on: Schedule for GLORYbound2012

The GLORYbound 2012 planning team just announced that the popular comedy duo “The Skit Guys” will be the emcee’s for the July 19-22, 2012 event at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott in The Woodland’s, TX. The team is very excited for this great addition to our line-up! You can find out more information about The Skit Guys by visiting their website at www.skitguys.com. Don’t forget, registration for GLORYbound is opening this August!

The 2012 Glorybound Team is hard at work planning for our gathering! As a reminder, the dates for the event are July 19-22, 2012 (Thursday-Sunday). Glorybound will take place at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott in The Woodlands, Texas. (North Houston area). We hope that you start planning now for your trip to Houston! In the coming months, we will begin to advertise some of the other opportunities in the Houston area for service before and after Glorybound as well as some fun things to do around town.
